General Information On The Library
 
The Radio Memories lending library offers OTR fans a way to enjoy their favorite programs at a significantly reduced cost.  The "chief librarian" is Tom Monroe (former librarian for NARA), who will fill your requests quickly, and assure the tapes are of the best sounding audio.  Tom will also strive to make sure you get the programs you want, so there is no need to supply "alternate selections" as with other libraries.  You can't go wrong, for only $1.00 per tape rental (plus S/H)!

All cassette programs in the rental catalog are of superior sound.  We will Offer complete listings of each series in future editions of the rental catalog, including programs that may contain some sound problems.  For those advance collectors that would like to include all programs available, programs with sound problems will be clearly marked with an asterisk. For now however, you can receive a complete listing of your favorite series by writing to RADIO MEMORIES (tm) and request such listings.  For the cassettes listed in the rental catalog now, you will find nothing but the most favorable sound.
 
Each cassette contains 60 minutes worth of enjoyment, unless otherwise noted.  All programs listed in the catalog are 30 minutes in length, unless noted (such as 15 and 60 minute programs).  Each cassette is a low noise, quality cassette. No factory seconds, or cheap, high hiss cassettes will be used.
 
Cassettes are a direct transfer, in real time, made from our master cassettes, keeping the sound quality extra crisp and clean.  You need not worry about low volume levels, volume fluctuation, skips, left and right balance level problems, speed pitch, etc.  Each master has been carefully produced to insure the best possible preservation of programs you enjoy and collect.  (These standards of course cannot be maintained for programs marked with an asterisk as described in our paper catalog.)
 
Each rental cassette will be replaced after three (3) to five (5) rentals to insure that you will receive the best possible cassette quality at the time you rent.  With this rental library, we are committed to making sure you are as happy as you can be with each and every cassette you borrow and not happy with about 10% of your selections as has occurred with some libraries.
 
 
HOW TO ORDER
To order the programs you want, you must order the cassette number to the left of the paired programs on that cassette. As an example:

You will receive the above THE SIX SHOOTER programs.
 
 
MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Any cassette lost, damaged, swapped, or otherwise not returned to the library in the same condition as received will be assessed $5.00 each for replacement and the borrower must clear this problem before additional cassettes can be borrowed.
 
 
RENTAL COSTS AND CONDITIONS
 
Each cassette rents for $1.00, plus shipping and handling for each order.
The shipping rates for rentals are:
 1 to 12 cassettes...$6.00
13 to 24 cassettes...$8.00
25 to 36 cassettes..$10.00
37 to 52 cassettes..$11.00
You are limited to ordering a minimum of five (5) cassettes and a maximum of 52 cassettes per order.  All cassettes borrowed, must be returned before you can borrow additional cassettes.  We would appreciate that the borrowed cassettes to be returned within 30 days from the date the borrower receives them.  The longest time cassettes are allowed to held is 45 days.  After 45 days, the member will be billed $5.00 for each cassette borrowed.  With a rare exception, you should always receive your selection, therefore we are not asking for alternate selections.  We will ensure that you will be satisfied each time you borrow the cassettes you want by providing the best sound quality and the exact programs you choose. We feel that this approach is one of the most important features of this library.
 
 
SHIPPING
 
All orders will be shipped via UPS and we require a street address for shipments.  Please include a telephone number so we may contact you if there is problem with your order.  All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days from the time we receive your order.  Please include rental fees using a check or money order, do not send cash.
 
 
MEMBERSHIP DUES
 
Membership dues are $25.00 (U.S.) yearly if you use the on-line catalog listings.  If you require a printed paper catalog, then your yearly dues are $60.00 to cover the cost of the printed catalog.  You will be billed yearly on your anniversary date and dues are due within 30 days.
